Mortal Kombat X Fight Pad - Hands On

I picked one up the other day (PS version) and the R1 button was broken. Took it back and got another and it works just fine.

Been playing MK9 on the PC with it and i think it's alright. It is really light, but it also doesn't have nearly as much to it as a regular controller (no sticks, no vibration) so it kinda makes sense. The d-pad on it is super smooth which makes it feel nice when doing quarter circle motions and i like the audible clicky nature of the face buttons. The face buttons are also pretty low profile which makes it easy to slide your thumb across buttons. The shoulder buttons are also not analog so they're more like bumpers on a 360 controller which removes unnecessary counter pressure when pressing the block button.

All in all it is a controller for fighting games so you wont really be able to use it with anything else, but as a fight pad i think it's pretty good. It is made by PDP though, so the long term build quality is questionable.
