Why Alone in the Dark: Illumination Isn't Looking Too Bright

All of the Resident Evil 4 comparisons below seem warranted.

If "Illumination" had improved on RE4's formula, that would've been nice; the subsequent RE releases themselves are seen as regressive and inferior by many gamers.

If it had at least matched RE4's quality, that would be decent.  There's nothing inherently bad about "cloning" another game  other than a mere lack of originality; it can actually be a good thing when a particular genre's market is a bit thin.  However, "one-man-army vs. zombie horde" games are somewhat commonplace in today's market -- and RE4 was released 10 years ago.

Instead of improving on RE4 ten years later, or at least matching its quality, Illumination seems to deliver less quality in all observable aspects.

That kinda sucks.  And I guess that's all I have to say about that. Well, could say more, but it would be even more negative.  Moving along.
