The content features the voices and likenesses of the movie's actors, including Sigourney Weaver (Ellen RIpley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker), and Ian Holm (Ash).

All preorders for Alien: Isolation will be upgraded to the Nostromo Edition, which includes these two mission packs, called "Crew Expendable." In the content, you can play as one of surviving crewmembers (Ellen, Dallas, or Parker) as you explore the Nostromo ship. is possible that this DLC will be sold separately down the road, but right now, Sega is saying the only way to get it is to preorder the game.

"Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience," Alien: Isolation creative director Alistair Hope said in a statement. "It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience."

Further, people in North America who preorder Alien Isolation at GameStop and in Europe at "select retailers" will receive an expansion called "Last Survivor." This content takes place as Ripley attempts to escape on the Narcissus spaceship. "On hearing the screams of Lambert and Parker, players must navigate their way back down through the Nostromo in order to activate the self-destruct sequence, before retracing their steps back to the Narcissus shuttle and their escape," Sega says.

Alien: Isolation, in development at Total War developer The Creative Assembly, launches on October 7 (a busy, busy day for new releases) for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. Production companies Vertigo Films and Prime Universe are developing the movie, with Adrian Askarieh and Roy Lee set to produce it. Both are veteran Hollywood producers, and are also behind the upcoming movie based on Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Askarieh and his production company Prime Universe also brought Hitman to the big-screen in 2007, and are currently working on a reboot called Hitman: Agent 47. The Tracking Board's report doesn't say anything about the plot for the Thief movie. But it's probably a safe bet to say that the franchise's thief hero, Garrett, will play a major role.

The Thief franchise was created by Looking Glass Studios, and the first installment was 1998's Thief: The Dark Project. Two sequels followed in the 2000s, while the most recent entry in the series was this year's Thief for consoles and PC. Not long after release, that game's developer, Eidos Montreal, laid off more than two dozens staffers.

It sounds like it's still very early days for the Thief movie, and there are no details yet concerning a director or cast. It's also unclear what kind of creative direction it will take. We have reached out to Square Enix for comment and will update this story with anything we hear back.

The Thief movies joins a growing list of video game movies currently in production. Ubisoft is currently working on a total of six movies, including features based on Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, and Watch Dogs. In a new interview, PlayStation Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida teased that the Uncharted series is a possibility for an HD re-release.

"There are requests from some consumers for games that were released later in the generation, like Uncharted, which people might have missed," Yoshida told Eurogamer. "That would be a good candidate." At the same time, however, Yoshida stressed that the company does not want to "flood the market with remade games, either."

Another first-party Sony game being re-made for the PS4 is the original Ratchet & Clank. But according to Yoshida, data shows that half of the current PS4 owners never bought a PS3, meaning The Last of Us Remastered and other potential remakes would be completely new experiences to these players.

"Almost 50 percent of people who have purchased a PS4 didn't own a PS3, and that's lots of people that missed exclusive PS3 titles like The Last of Us," Yoshida said, citing a Nielsen study. "So it's a great way to welcome those people back to PlayStation, saying this is what you missed."

Yoshida didn't say if it was Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (2007), Uncharted: Among Thieves (2009), or Uncharted: Drake's Deception (2011) that was the strongest contender for a PS4 remake. There is also the possibility that Sony would bundle all three together as part of some kind of Nathan Drake Collection, a la Microsoft's The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One.

A fourth entry in the mainline Uncharted series, Uncharted: A Thief's End, is coming to PS4 in 2015.

If you were in charge at Sony, which Uncharted game(s) would you want to bring forward to the PS4? Today, images of the device have leaked, SamMobile reports.

Called Gear VR, the headset may be announced at Samsung's IFA 2014 conference at the same time as the Note 4 tablet. The report and image support the original May rumors, including the fact that the headset will simply use a Samsung galaxy phone as a screen. A phone slots into the headset and docks via USB, then VR software utilizes the phone's built-in accelerometer, gyroscope, and processor to track a user's head.

The headset is being made exclusively by Samsung, but the software is being co-developed by Oculus VR. In a sense, this device has a similar goal to Google Cardboard, the ultra-cheap VR solution using cardboard and a smartphone that Google introduced at its developer's conference in June. But the Gear VR improves dramatically on that design by making it much more comfortable to wear, and by adding an augmented reality button. In other words, you can press a button on the outside of the headset to activate the rear camera on the phone and see your surroundings.

According to the report, Samsung is focusing on media at launch, with some theater and gallery apps to be compatible with the headset and software. But the company will be opening up the kit to developers soon after the headset's release.

This rumor follows last month's report that Oculus VR is looking for manufacturing and hardware partners, licensing out its software because it does not have the infrastructure to make enough headsets. The Samsung headset seems to be the first of such partnerships.

If real, the Gear VR joins the Oculus Rift for PC and Sony's Project Morpheus headset for PlayStation 4 among the newest wave of virtual reality headsets. If you take part in the expansion during it's roughly month-long launch period, you'll be able to access first wing at no cost, but if you arrive late, you'll have to pay for the first wing separately. However, there are several options in how you pay for it, though. Unless you want to pay with gold. If you want to pay with Hearthstone's in-game currency, the price is a flat 700 gold per wing.

In real world cash, you can either pay:

$7 for each wing individually

$25 for access to all five

$20 for access to four (for if you got free access to the first one and then wanted to pay for the rest)

$15 for three

$10 for two

Keep in mind that there's no advantage to paying real cash for any wing either individually or in a bundle. Blizzard notes, "Keep in mind that purchasing Curse of Naxxramas wings in bundles does not open or grant access to those wings faster than the one-wing-a-week schedule."

While we don't have a specific release date, Blizzard has said they plan on opening the expansion this July (although each week another wing will open). And you'll be able to earn at least 30 cards if you can successfully make it through all of the dungeon's challenges.

If you were worried about the game being too simple, Blizzard has an answer for that as well: Heroic Mode. "Once you've defeated all of the bosses within any given wing for the first time, you'll unlock the Heroic mode of that wing. Heroic mode bosses are significantly more difficult than their normal versions, and they will prove to be a challenge for even the most veteran Hearthstone players." The reward for overcoming those challenges will be a new card back you can use to show off your battlefield prowess.

To me, the price seems fair, especially since the first wing unlocks for free, although I wouldn't have minded a bulk gold discount as well. But what do you think about the cost? Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience."

Further, people in North America who preorder Alien Isolation at GameStop and in Europe at "select retailers" will receive an expansion called "Last Survivor." Both are veteran Hollywood producers, and are also behind the upcoming movie based on Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Upon visiting the secret base of another player, players can meet other trainers and invite them back to their own secret base as a secret pal.

Unlocking secret pals grants the ability to interact and battle with them and access their special skills. This includes sharing new decorations, speeding up the hatching of a Pokemon Egg, or levelling up a chosen Pokemon. Collecting more secret pals enables the use of more special skills.

Additionally, players will also be able to capture flags while in other players' secret bases. Flags will be located beside the secret PC in each base, and more flags collected grant a higher rank. Higher ranks improve the skills of secret pals.

Nintendo announced Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in May.
