The Walking Dead season two coming fall 2013, says Telltale

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Kamis, 07 Maret 2013 | 21.50

Telltale clarifies earlier reports to say gamers will be able to play more of The Walking Dead this year.

Telltale's second season of its critically acclaimed The Walking Dead will begin its episodic release in Q3 2013.

Speaking to Game Informer, a Telltale representative said "the current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of 'this' year (2013), and not 'next' year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview. We apologize for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale's series."

In a previous interview with Eurogamer, Telltale CEO Dan Connors suggested the game's second season wouldn't see a release until the second half of 2014.

Telltale writer Gary Whitta has already teased the possibility of some new The Walking Dead content being released to bridge the gap between season one and season two, and presumably he's not talking about Activision's FPS take on the TV series being released this month.

The Walking Dead picked up two gongs at the BAFTA Game Awards on Tuesday night.

Alongside season two of The Walking Dead, Telltale is working to adapt Bill Willingham's Fables graphic novels.

Now Playing: Chaos Online (MOBA)

What i hope they do with the series is, give us 2-4 games whatever they need to tell a great story. When we all see mass effect all it should tell us is its a great space epic, it will have rpg like elements it will be a 3rd person shooter, and finnaly are choices will massivly effect the story. I dont see why it has to have anything to do with the last set of games.

Heck talk with Joss Whedon and put it in the firefly universe? As long as they keep putting the time and effort in to the story and characters im in. I hate shooters and I love mass effect, that says something right there.

FIFA 13 Ultimate Team Asia All-Stars Singapore Qualifiers Recap

disapointed with UT this year, didnt hardly play it compared to UT 12.

The single matches being scrapped  was a bad idea, while the leageu tournement rankings should of been a choice, not enforced.

This meant soo many teams with pace abuse players, same teams , same players. Sweaty arcady , scripted football thanks to the speed being higher on UT gameplay. Just frustrating.

Also getting coins was easier, which was good... but that then lead to trade being not as effective. Because playing in divisions allowed people to get good players quicker.

I have soo many ideas on how they could of added more cards , and depth.

And no place for silver squads , because everyone had golds with fast players. Just didnt feel good anymore.

I only play fifa now for offline play against a buddy, on manuel settings.

EA next time ,,, bring back singles.

Mojang will 'consider' Minecraft for PlayStation

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Rabu, 06 Maret 2013 | 21.50

Mojang will look into bringing Minecraft to PlayStation platforms once its exclusivity deal with Microsoft ends; Wii U version "very unlikely."

Swedish developer Mojang has said it will consider porting its breakout hit Minecraft to Sony consoles.

An console exclusivity deal between Mojang and Microsoft is keeping the game off Sony devices, but in an interview with iGamer (via Edge) Mojang developer Jens Bergensten said "when it runs out we'll consider Minecraft for PlayStation."

Bergensten didn't say if that meant PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4. Speaking about Nintendo's consoles, however, Bergensten said a version of Minecraft on Wii U would be "very unlikely."

Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition was one of Microsoft's biggest successes in 2012, with the game quickly becoming the fastest-selling Xbox Live Arcade game of all time. The port was handled by Scottish developer 4J Studios and has now sold over 5 million copies.

It is unknown just how long Minecraft's exclusivity period with Microsoft will last, but the Xbox 360 Edition came out in May 2012.

EA is "confident" SimCity UK launch won't repeat US mistakes

Maxis' SimCity revival launched in the US yesterday, but some American gamers have been left unable to play due to the game's servers collapsing because of "overwhelming demand."

SimCity requires an always-on Internet connection, alongside an account on EA's digital distribution platform Origin. Over the past 24 hours users have reported problems in both accessing the game's servers and even being able to download the game to begin with.

"Due to the high demand for SimCity, Origin has experienced delays impacting a small percentage of users. We're working non-stop to resolve," wrote the Origin Twitter account overnight.

In the meantime, Origin has said it is confident that the same errors which plagued the US launch will not affect other territories when the game launches later this week. "We're making changes to prevent further issues, and are confident that Origin will be stable for international launches later this week," said Origin.

Maxis has consistently maintained that its always-on DRM for SimCity will be of benefit to the end user, with the game functioning as a connected experience designed to be played with others. "You're always connected to the neighbors in your region so while you play, data from your city interacts with our servers, and we run the simulation at a regional scale," said Maxis senior vice president Lucy Bradshaw in December 2012.

SimCity is the latest high-profile title to suffer with connectivity issues at launch. Diablo 3 was notably troubled with issues when it launched last year, but popular online titles like Battlefield 3 often have their multiplayer servers buckle at launch.

SimCity launches in the UK on Friday. A GameSpot review is currently in the works.

A Valley Without Wind 2 Review

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Selasa, 05 Maret 2013 | 21.50

After committing a variety of unspeakable acts against your fellow man, you have finally gained the trust of the evil sorcerer Demonaica. Your reward for walking the path of darkness is a crystal that grants you immortality. Tarnished though your soul has become, you hope to use your new strength to destroy the very individual who foolishly placed his confidence in you. Wiping out evil and saving humankind isn't a simple task, though. To persevere, you need to rely on both reflexes and intellect.

Careful: the wind can affect the trajectory of your spells.

Despite featuring a rather conventional premise, A Valley Without Wind 2 stands apart from the crowd of similar action games by deftly combining a slew of platforming stages with what initially seems like a generic turn-based strategy interface. First impressions may lead you to dismiss the latter element as unimportant, but that would be a mistake. If you don't consistently pay equal attention to each aspect of play, you won't be able to complete the game, because your progress is frequently auto-saved, and a few critical mistakes can render victory impossible. If you're ready to embrace that unusual and rather demanding dynamic, you'll find a worthwhile experience that might surprise you.

As the game begins, a randomly generated world presents you with a number of colorful tiles placed near the center of a black expanse. A few units materialize as well, and you need to move them to available spaces where they can search for resources, rescue additional soldiers and scouts from captivity, and so forth. Troop deployment serves as only the first half of a phase, though. Once you have directed all of your soldiers, you can then enter an action stage. Those levels are also randomly generated, though some are similar enough to one another that you might believe otherwise. They tend toward large open areas that are a perfect playground for your character as he runs and leaps through passages and along ledges, hurling primary and secondary spells specific to his class, or slows down to avoid hazards like thorn patches and floating blades. Each turn concludes only when you reach the end of an appropriate area and destroy a waiting windstorm generator.

You can also enter previously visited stages without ending a turn, and look for loot that ranges from an armor pickup (which wears down and breaks over time, a sometimes annoying fact despite a landscape that overflows with treasure chests) to perk tokens and sometimes even blueprints that allow your character to gain additional moves that affect his mobility. A failed attempt at an action stage doesn't have sweeping consequences, but the resulting drop in army morale can make your troops less effective when facing the creatures that roam the map.

After each turn ends, you get to see how you did. Early on, the game babies you as it acquaints you with the rules. It walks you through exercises such as building shelters for your troops and turning grassland into farmland so that you can generate precious resources. You may be immortal, but your troops need to eat, and they need to feel satisfied that the resistance effort is going well. Otherwise, they won't fight effectively when monsters inevitably start arriving in waves that emanate from Demonaica's castle and from various other landmarks that may eventually enter the equation. You soon have to worry about the sorcerer himself, as well. He moves around the map and eliminates any soldiers that cross his path. If your army's population drops to zero, that's the end of the game—no matter how many hours you might have played—and you have to start fresh with a new world.

Resident Evil: Revelations details ultra-tough Infernal mode for console

New ultra-difficulty mode in upcoming console version of Resident Evil: Revelations changes enemy and item placement.

The upcoming Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U versions of Resident Evil: Revelations will feature an especially challenging Infernal difficulty mode, which Capcom has detailed in a new trailer.

Alongside making the game harder, Infernal mode also remixes enemy and item placement.

Resident Evil: Revelations was released on the 3DS last year. The game was awarded a respectable 8.5 in its GameSpot review.

"Resident Evil: Revelations is a thoroughly successful crossbreeding of old-school chills and new-school action," said reviewer Jane about the 3DS version last year.

The console version of Resident Evil: Revelations will be released on May 21 in North America, and May 24 in Europe.

Dead Space series cancelled by EA after poor sales of Dead Space 3 - Report

EA has axed the Dead Space series, a new report suggests.

Lower-than-expected sales of Dead Space 3 caused the publisher to put the series to rest, a source told VideoGamer.com.

Dead Space 4 was allegedly in pre-production at Visceral Games and Visceral Montreal, with the latter studio now shut completely in a restructuring move.

The studio's troubled development of Dead Space 3 was also mentioned, suggesting that the game was subjected to multiple budget cuts throughout its production and was almost cancelled outright at one point.

A switch from weapon-specific ammo to generic ammo was also done to facilitate the game's contentious addition of microtransactions, the source says. Visceral was also allegedly told to reign in the horror aspects and follow an action-focused approach similar to Mass Effect.

EA Games Label president Frank Gibeau has previously said its AAA games need to sell upwards of 5 million copies if they want to survive. Dead Space 3 managed to top the UK charts at its launch, although was outsold by its predecessor which launched in a similar period.

Earlier this year EA put the Medal of Honor to rest after poor sales.

Dead Space 3 will get a slice of single-player downloadable content, Awakening, in March.

EA said to GameSpot that it does not comment on rumour or speculation.
